DETAILS

WHAT - A mindfulness camp for women full of daily yoga, meditation, good foods, workshops for digging deeper, nature + art workshops, and plenty of free time for those who need extra space for themselves.

WHERE - Camp is located on a family farm in Center, Kentucky, within 2 hours of both Louisville & Nashville’s airport. You will drive hilly roads surrounded by trees, cows, and old tractors on your way to camp. Once you arrive, you will find yourself tucked far away from any roads in this private area that falls between a beautiful, meandering creek and a river which carries the sun into the sky.

Most people choose to fly into Louisville because there are more options for carpooling from there. If you are flying in and want to carpool, you can connect with the other campers in the Facebook group you will be added to when you sign up.

If you need help deciding which flight times are best, feel free to reach out for assistance!

WHEN – For the safety of the community, all 2020 dates have been rescheduled. To stay up to date on virtual offerings and future camp dates, follow along on instagram.

MORE DETAILS - Make sure to reach the FAQ below to find out more info. You will also receive a PDF with the specific address, directions, camp schedule, information on camp leaders, and a packing list 60 days prior to your camp date. Need info before then? No problem! Feel free to reach out with any specific questions.

FAQ

Where will I sleep?

Restore is a camping experience where you bring your own camping supplies. You don’t have to be an experienced camper to come. Upon arrival, you will meet a team of ladies ready & willing to help you get set up. Should you need gear, feel free to shoot over an email and we will see if we can find what you need for you.

How do I know what to bring?

You will receive a PDF of all the information you need 60 days prior to your camp date, including a packing list. If you have any questions prior to that, all you have to do is reach out via email and I’ll make sure you get the info you need!

Can you accommodate special diets?

We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences if possible but are not set up to have separate cooking spaces for those with allergies. The camp menu is 90% gluten, dairy, meat, and sugar free. We can easily accommodate plant-based diets. Please email with specific requests before signing up.

Can I shower?

There is only one shower accessible but you are welcome to use it. You will learn more about how to do so once you arrive. Most people opt to not shower or to clean off in the creek. If you want to do the latter, be sure to bring a toxin free shampoo option so we are aren’t dumping anything harmful into the river.

Why is my payment non refundable?

Trust me, I wish that the payments were refundable because I realize that life happens and sometimes we can’t control what comes up. The nature of creating an experience like this does not allow for such flexibility, unfortunately.

Camp always fills up so spots are limited. Should you take a spot and then decide last minute not to come, it means that an opportunity for me fill that spot has most likely been forfeited. Additionally, camp is prepared for months in advance so your payment is being put towards sourcing local food, supporting workshop leaders, and so many other things which make camp the magical experience it is.

Should you have something come up that is unavoidable, you can transfer your spot to someone else. I am happy to help you in seeing if we can fill the spot, but that isn’t something I can promise because it’s hard to make happen last minute.

Will other people be around that aren’t a part of Restore?

Restore is held on a private farm. It’s tucked back away from roads or homes. The owners of the farm are kind people who work with us to make sure you have everything you need. You may see them coming and going occasionally but they are the only people outside of the Restore team + the campers who will be in the retreat space.

I’m afraid I’ll be overwhelmed because I’m introverted

This experiences was created with this concern in mind. There is plenty of time to spend recharging on your own. Some women prefer to soak in the communal energy, but some of us need a little more space, and both types of people are welcome and safe here. The feedback heard most often is that campers love how much space there is in the schedule for them to have their own time.

Do I need to be an advanced yogi?

No! Yoga is only one part of this experience. The classes are taught with beginners in mind and all of the teachers will make sure that no one is left behind. The yoga at camp focuses on mindfulness and restoration.

Will I need to buy anything else once I arrive?

Nope! The cost of camp includes everything you need.

Do I have to do everything on the schedule?

No, this is your experience and you get to do what you want. Most people do everything on the schedule because they find that there is plenty of time scheduled in for free time so they can both rest and participate.

Can I use my phone?

This is an off-grid location, but you can take a short walk uphill to find signal. Most people take the opportunity to enjoy the space away from their phones but we know that you may need to communicate with loved ones and there is no problem should you decided to do so. If for any reason your phone does not get signal, I will be happy to let you use mine.

Will I be near my car?

Yes! This is not a backpacking experience. You will be a short walk from your car and we have lots of extra hands to help you get your stuff over to the campground.

Do I need a mess kit?

No, everything you need for your meals is provided for you. We do not provide water bottles, but do provide drinking water, so please bring a bottle or cup.

Do I need to bring my own drinking water?

No, we provide drinking water.

Is there a restroom?

There is a restroom in the campground with a toilet and sink.
